Environmental Manager, Covington, VA The EnvironmentalManager is responsible for understanding and communicating the environmental laws,regulations, and WestRock policies applicable to a large, fully-integratedKraft pulp and paper mill, and for ensuring that mill personnel understand therequirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering, or environmental science At least ten years? experience in environmental compliance in industry, preferably in pulp and paper. Success in managing and developing direct reports. Expertise in managing Title V, VPDES, CERCLA, SPCC, RCRA, Solid Waste, and EPCRA programs. Experience in developing and teaching effective environmental compliance training programs. Preference will be given to a candidate with landfill management experience. Proficient computer skills (including MS Office, most importantly Excel and Microsoft Word). Willing and able to walk and work in an industrial location indoors or outdoors, including walking up and down steps and ladders with all safety equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, steel-toed shoes, etc.) Eligible to work in the United States RequiredCompetencies Excellent communication skills. How you will impact WestRock The Environmental Manager will perform the following work functions:
Manage a team of mill employees and contractors. (Environmental engineers, laboratory personnel, , technicians , and landfill operationscontractors). Review capital project plans and perform permit applicability assessments for applicable projects.Develop permit applications for projects and submit to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. Complete a department budget annually. Mentor direct reports and co-op students. Participate as member of the mill?s senior leadership team Weekend and holiday duty.Report approximately every fourth week on weekends and holidays.While on call duty, attend morning meetings, check for permit deviations or releases, and respond accordingly.Report to the mill as soon as possible, at any time of day or night, to address emergencies. For each of the following, ensure the required reporting, monitoring, training, policies, procedures, and maintenance programs are in place and implemented correctly:
Title V air permit program and underlying construction permits, including PSD, NSR, Boiler MACT, MACT Subpart S, RICE MACT, Part 75 coal/gas-fired boiler, CEMS, LDAR, asbestos, greenhouse gas, CFCs, stack testing (manage contractor), RATAs, and CGAs. Landfill management. Support site sustainability efforts and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders Hazardous waste management for a small quantity generator, as well as other special wastes (used oil, oily debris, PCBs, etc.) Analytical Laboratory with VELAP certification. VPDES permit including sampling and analyses, Cluster Rule/BMP Requirements. Manage VPDES nutrient permit and associated trading program Groundwater permit and water conservation. SPCC, ODC, and SWPP plans for mill . EPCRA/CERCLA reports. Tier II, Form R, continuous release of reportable quantities. Environmental release response and assistance. TSCA reporting. Support for Department of Homeland Security Site Security Plan and Flood Response Plan . Manage Risk Management Plan (RMP) forhighly hazardous chemicals. Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
