LOCAL MILEAGE TRUCK DRIVER SHIFTS:

  • Local mileage shift available: Monday to Friday with early morning start times.
  • Usually home every night, but will have occasional unscheduled overnight runs.
  • One opening in Roanoke, two openings in Covington.
  • Usually run with in 200-250 mile radius of home terminal or domicile.
  • Pull 53' dry vans, over 50% of loads are drop and hook.
  • Local mileage truck drivers average $1,075 to $1,175 a week ( $0.45 1/4 per mile ) plus $24 for each pickup or delivery; annual $54,000 to $58,000 a year.
  • Assigned International tractors, 10 speed transmissions, ELD and Drivewyze equipped.

REGIONAL MILEAGE DRIVER SHIFTS:

  • Regional Mileage OTR truck drivers go out through the week and are home every weekend about 48 hours.
  • Schedule varies weekly, sometimes finish Friday and sometimes on Saturday, your start time is about 48 hours after you get in.
  • Mostly run MD, PA. NJ, OH, WV, VA, NC, & DE pulling 53 dry vans; over 50% of loads are drop and hook.
  • Regional OTR truck drivers average $1,350 to $1,450 a week ( $0.51 1/4 per mile , base $.48 1/4 + attendance $.03) annual $70,000 to $75,000 a year.
  • Assigned sleeper trucks. OTR Regional truck drivers run 2014-2017 Freightliners, some trucks have automatic transmissions and some have 10 speed transmissions. ELD's, Drivewyze, and APU's in all trucks.
  • Dispatch support available 24 hours a day.
  • Company terminals have fueling, truck scales, break rooms, showers, and spacious overnight parking.

Houff invests in drivers once they are hired. We provide training materials and give time off to assist you in obtaining your endorsements. We have custom designed training programs to assist drivers with ELD use and also do ongoing training with paid monthly meetings so drivers can stay informed of changing rules, regulations, and best practices. Houff pays drivers for background checks on Hazmat and TWIC and also for attending safety and operations training meetings.

REQUIREMENTS:

These positions are only open to experienced class A CDL tractor-trailer truck drivers. Requires a minimum of two years of recent tractor-trailer driving with verifiable work history. Preference given to those with a stable work record and five years of total full time tractor-trailer driving experience. You must have a good driving record, no serious citations or accidents in the last five years, and able to obtain at least a one year physical. Hazmat and tank endorsements required within 60 days of hire, and then TWIC card after 90 days (Houff pays for all background checks.) For additional information call Jayme Reed at 877-234-9233.

Next we'll review your application and qualifications. We contact you for a phone interview give you more details about the company and the position you are applying for. An in-person interview would then be required at our administrative terminal in Weyers Cave Va. Then following successful completion of drug test, road test, physical, and background verifications, we have you in for one and a half days of paid orientation, assign you a truck, then you're ready to start earning.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
